Good Friday

Today –
– is a day when a large portion of our human species gives an observance to a day set apart from other days.
– some humans claim that today a holy day.
– other humans claim it to be a day that is a mere Friday.
– other humans claim today a day of other significance.
Friday –
– the 6th day of creation, according to some humans.
– the 5th day according to other ideas.
– the 5th day of the workweek.
– the last day of the workweek.
– the last day prior to the weekend.
In the Judeo tradition, it is a day that is a Friday and in that it is holy because their Judeo deity claims it is for the Judeo deity states that he made it, thus it is holy. (God made the days, God claims the days and each day is holy.)
In the Muslim world, it is Friday, a day of congregational prayer and possibly sacred. Thus, it is holy, enjoyed and the Muslim deity proclaims it a day of prayer and observance of it as holy and it is a must.
In Buddhism the Buddhists deity claim Friday is a day of contemplation. It is a day of the “Contemplating Buddha”.
In other religions or spiritual groups, it is either a sacred day due to it was made to be one by a deity or a deity professes to be significant due to an event.
Governments have done this too in concern to Friday and especially this particular Friday too. They have made today very specifically important.
Today in Christendom – today – is a holy day that is equalled only by two other days. Christians all over the world observe today as his day – him – the one who is the Messiah.
It is claimed that the Christian deity proclaims all humans to be sinners and are no longer permitted to be part of paradise where the deity exists. That is said and yet, that deity wants humans to be with him. That deity is known as God. In the text of Christendom, it is claimed that plans and actions are done to make humans have a way to be one with their God.
Jesus of Nazareth –
– it is said that today Jesus of Nazareth died on a Roman wooden cross in some part of Jerusalem. Crucified by Romans, Jews, and all humanity. He was to pay no matter who he was.
– he is said to have a virgin birth
– he is said to be fathered by God.
– he is said to have been innocent and perfect
– he is said to be the Messiah.
– he is said to be a heretic
– he is said to be a mere mortal
– he is said to be a charlatan
– he is said to be a prophet
– he is to be fictitious
– he is said to be the god
– he is said to a demon
– he is to be a rebel
– he is said to be a criminal
– he is said to be a cult leader
– he is said to be everything and nothing
– and the list is endless
And yet, billions of people on this day know that Jesus of Nazareth was said to be crucified on a Roman cross of punishment for sins that he did not have.
But some humans say that he had sinned for he was a rebellious rule-breaker in his forming of a cult and of arousing the adherence to the old rules of the Judeo deity. Therefore he was a sinner and should die.
It is said that he died because of the law-breaking.
That is, if he was real then he died because of that.
Then again many believe that he died to save others from hell and torment so they may be with their deity, God.
History, science, and modern humans try to prove all of that as truthful or false.
Yet, today is “Good Friday’.
Today is his day of death
His day of sacrifice
His life given
Him being the epic wonders that he is said to be.
Today is the beginning of what some humans claim to be the salvation processes.
It is said that today, Jesus of Nazareth went to the bowels of Hell and condemnation to release we humans from what should be a destiny. Some people say that. Some people kneel to it. Some people scoff. Some people don’t care. Some people cry. Some people shout hallelujah. Some say he is mine and I am his. Many things are said.
Yet, no matter what today is – ‘Good Friday’.
Three days in the bowels of Hell, three days carrying all human sin and it is said that he holds the keys. Some humans say he is the Creator. It is your choice to believe or not.
But, I say “Blessed Good Friday.”
